We always said we'd never have a cat. Well, you know what they say about never saying never. We have a kitten and we named him jack.
Eric has had bad experiences with cats, and I'm allergic to them, but we found a mouse in the house! 😱 I realize we live in the country, but we are NOT having any of that!
A friend from church had three kittens that needed homes. When I told Eric (and showed him the pictures of those adorable fluff balls.) he said we should get one. Knowing that cats are not his favorite (and that's a mild way to say it.) and also knowing that he probably wasn't going to make this offer again...we acted on it.
We went as a family to "meet the kitties" and see which personality might be a good fit for us. We chose Jack, but couldn't take him home that night.
The night we picked him up we put him in a little card board box in Mary's lap, but just a little way down the road we took him out of the box and put Jack in Mary's lap where he promptly feel asleep.
He is so adorably cute. So far he hasn't played favorites, but seems to love us all - as much as we love him.
My favorite thing about him is that he falls asleep on his back and loves tummy rubs.
He's 10 weeks old now and getting friskier than ever. He darts across the room in attack mode. Jack-Attack! (Sadly, this terrifies Mary.)
He's growing so fast! For now our plan is for him to be just an inside kitty. He's safer inside.
