Or as the little people in my family say, Happy Green Patrick's Day!
Probably for most St. Patrick's Day is little more than a day to...
- wear green, lest you be pinched
- eat corned beef and cabbage
- hit the pub and drink Guinness beer
- chuckle at the thought of stingy, greedy male fairies hoarding pots of hidden gold.
But it's really so much more for this Fair Emerald Isle. (though sadly, its current culture doesn't focus on this either.)
As you know from previous posts here, here, here, and here, that it's our tradition to enjoy an Irish supper here at home.
This year's menu is simple and includes
Bangers and Mash
We will also listen to Celtic Thunder and Keith Harkin...on repeat. :-)
We still dream of one day being able to visit there. Wouldn't that be fabulous?

and listen to fun folk music

I adore the sound of the ukulele, banjo, and squeeze box.
It's a bucket-list dream to be sure.
"Adventuring through Ireland"
Perhaps one day there will be a √ next to that item. :-)
It's sure fun to dream about!
Anyway...
This Irish feast thing has become such a fun tradition in our home. Great food. Great memories.
