You've gotta try it!
What would you say if I told you that you could enjoy a chocolate shake and not feel guilty about it...not one little bit? Would you believe me? Would you trust me? {Ha reminds me of the saying, "never trust a skinny cook."}
Meet the Chococado!
This is an amazingly yummy shake. You would never guess the ingredients by the look or by the taste.
It's DELICIOUS - and you should try it!! Trust me!
In a blender combine:
1 avocado
1 large handful of spinach
1 spoonful of cocoa powder
a few drops of stevia to taste (I used a bit of agave)
a dash of vanilla
1-1/2 c. of chocolate almond milk
lots of ice
Blend until smooth and enjoy!

We juice and/or blend drinks every day now. I often use organic canned coconut milk diluted 50% with water as a base. I want to make my own almond milk! Anyways, I bet I could do this shake with the coconut milk and a little more unsweetened dark cocoa powder. The avocado sounds weird but I'll try!! :-) Come sip one in our 80 degree weather with me! xoxo

ReplyDeleteI bet the coconut milk would work fine, it just might not be as chocolaty. You don't taste the avocado or the spinach - just creamy, chocolate bliss. Would LOVE LOVE to sip with you in your 80 degree weather!!

This was really good Carol! I used soy milk instead so added some extra cocoa powder and sweetener , since it wasn't chocolate milk. Very tasty, filling and healthy! WooHoo! :) BTW - I always read your blog, even though I don't often comment! Love you friend! :)
ReplyDeleteJust tried it! Yum! I didn't have any agave so I just used raw honey. I also used the coconut milk. MMM enjoying right now. :-)
