Freedom Isn't Free!
Today we took the kids to the Sultan Cemetery for Memorial Day services. It's so important to us to remind our children that a very high price has been paid for our freedom. Men and Women willingly risked their lives (and lost!) so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have. Freedom to worship our God without fear or threat of danger; freedom to elect government officials; even freedom to speak our mind freely about those leaders, just to name a few.
When we arrived we were greeted by several members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. They looked so pleased to see young people attend the service. I think it actually gave them hope that this current generation still does care about this great nation!
I know a lot of people who have served or who are currently serving in our military.
I am so thankful for them! If you are one of them reading this post...Thank YOU!
