Abbie's first race

Hey, Hey look who skated her first race! 

This was a local push (not downhill) race around Lake Tye.  Two times around the lake is a 5k.  This gromm group only had to go around once, but that's a long way for little legs. 

Believe it or not, Abbie was not the youngest skater.

There was another skater in her class.  Even though Abbie didn't win, she learned some lessons about perseverance, disappointment, conquering fear, and hard work so in my book it was a win! I'm so proud of my girl.

So thankful for opportunities that develop character and for time well spent with Dad.
